  • SKILLS: I will provide service in ALN, SEND practice including Autism, ADHD, and sensory processing to create group sessions designed to create social connection through fencing.I will focus on building confidence alongside motor skills to converse with organisations (like the Vale Youth Service) to start building their own inclusive programmes from scratch with my help. I will provide the blueprint for safeguarding, funding, and ALN-specific delivery, and through study in MA Education ( Special Inclusions)/ Occupational Therapy at the University of Plymouth, I will integrate interventions in physical disabilities & wheelchair fencing to create specialised sessions that use fencing fitness to improve education, core stability and upper-limb range of motion. ABOUT ME: I am a Registered British Fencing ITCF Coach and the Founder of the Plymouth Autism Social Group with the assistance of the Disability Assist team at the University of Plymouth. My professional journey is defined by a commitment to building inclusive spaces where none existed. Utilising a background in Teaching Assistance and Youth Work (Vale of Glamorgan), I deliver high-status, movement-based interventions for autistic youth and those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN/ SEND). I design structured curriculum environments for sensory regulation and physical literacy. My without kit movement model removes barriers to elite sport, bridging the gap between recreational activity and educational and Occupational Therapy (OT) goals before bringing kit into the equation. As I want to transition into an MA Education (Inclusion), I continue to 'pour back' into the Plymouth network by developing research-backed, HMRC-registered social enterprise that secure a future for the next generation and for the University.
