Working with Freelancers
Once a suitable freelancer (or freelancers) has been identified, all work is agreed and carried out directly between the client and the freelancer

• The client and freelancer are responsible for agreeing the scope of work, timelines, deliverables, and fees
• Any negotiation of rates and terms is handled directly between both parties
• A contractual agreement should be established between the client and the freelancer, where appropriate

Role of the University of Plymouth Freelancers Agency

• Acts solely as a connector between clients and freelancers
• Does not act as an employer, agent, or contracting party in any agreement
• Is not responsible for the delivery, quality, or outcome of the work undertaken
• Holds no liability for agreements, disputes, or payments between clients and freelancer

Important information

• Freelancers operate on a self-employed basis
• Clients engage freelancers at their own discretion and risk
• It is the responsibility of both parties to ensure they are satisfied with the terms agreed before commencing work.

The University of Plymouth accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or dispute arising from engagements facilitated through the Plymouth Freelancers Agency.
